Shimmer Labs is a small software shop in Stillwater, Oklahoma. We build mobile apps, web apps, and AI agents for small businesses.
Founded by Logan Shimmer — OSU alum, two decades in tech. He came back to Stillwater to build the tools that small businesses need but can't find off the shelf.
Why We Exist
Most software is built for big companies. The tools that exist for small businesses are either too generic, too expensive, or both.
We started Shimmer Labs because we kept running into the same problem: small business owners drowning in admin work, using five different apps that don't talk to each other, and paying enterprise prices for tools they use 10% of.
So we build the fix. Custom software, built fast, priced for real businesses.
What We've Shipped
- Paidly — AI invoicing for freelancers. Scan a contract, generate an invoice. Built because invoicing was eating our own time.
- EventSnag — iOS app that turns event screenshots into calendar entries. Built because nobody could find events in Stillwater.
- TreeBidPro — Web app for a tree service contractor. Wireframes to production with Stripe in 2 weeks.
- Sidecar — AI agents that handle hiring, social media, and proposals for service businesses.
- FlowMint — Shopify app for automated email marketing.
Why Stillwater
Logan grew up here. Left for tech jobs. Came back.
Stillwater doesn't have a lot of software shops. Most small businesses here hire agencies in Dallas or Austin and pay accordingly. We think local businesses deserve a local team that actually understands their problems — and charges fairly for the work.
