Shimmer Labs is the local software shop. Logan Shimmer runs it. OSU class of '09 alum. He came back to Stillwater after 17 years in California — most of that time spent as a systems engineer at companies like National Instruments, Iterable, WeaveGrid, and Sense — to build a software consultancy that serves Stillwater small businesses the way he'd want one to serve his.

Why local matters for AI work

Most "AI consultants" you'll find on Google are in Dallas, Austin, Atlanta, or a Slack channel six time zones away. They charge agency prices, send you to an account manager, and the person doing the actual building has never set foot in Oklahoma.
